web community

It’s sad to see such an almost non existent web community here in HK. Of course, there are websites, blogs, online shops but few have ecommerce, innovative web services available. Why is that? I’ve been told that when it comes to IT, HK follows the trends, afterall HK is one giant financial hotbed and that’s all. This place can literally go on without a creative web community. But you’ll find more opportunities up in the mainland.

Does that mean there’s opportunity here that could ? I hope so… I’ve got couple ideas in mind and on the drawing board, if it doesn’t work out here, I could always move into the China market… or what about the Korean or Japanese market? Who knows, I’ll let you know when I have clearly thought through the process and get some criticism from people I know or don’t know, then I could try to pitch it, build it, or toss it.
