Lifesterblog, in its alpha stage, is a new blogging community founded in Hong Kong and targeted to Hong Kong and Asia.
Lifesterblog is much like the established communities popular with Hong Kongers, like Xanga, Friendster, MySpace, Yahoo! HK Blogs, but it’s different in that it offers conveniences when adding your content, like photos and videos. Lifesterblog allows users to upload their videos and photos directly from their already established source, like YouTube and Flickr. Aside from that, you can customize the look and feel of your blog with design and widgets. The customization options are limited at the moment but definitely could see more options added later on as it moves beyond alpha stage.
So, how will it compete with the established blog communities? Getting the people to move or join yet another blog community would be a tough task, but from just the first glance, I find it overall to be much better than Yahoo! HK Blog. They could also look into integrating with aNobii’s service as well.

Thx for posting the site on your blog.
Do you mind add a link of the site (http://hk.lifesterblog.com), so that people can click on it when they are looking at the post.
Also, I think it makes a lot of sense to integrate aNobii’s service, as it’s book service targets directly to HK users.
My bad, can’t believe I missed that.
Hi angus,
By chance I came upon your blog when I was searching for blog community/ beta blog in Hong Kong. Based on your experiences, could you advise me which is the most popular Hong Kong’s blog community/meta blog?
Thanks & Best Regards,
Curious Singaporean
Hi Shawn,
By far the most popular blog community is Yahoo! HK. You’ll get the others, MSN, Xanga, Sina are the big names one that most people here use as well. www.blog-you.com is a good one.
