[...] I spent the early morning today at the Asia Web Technology conference at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The main theme of the conference was around Web 2.0 and this is the third local web conference that I’ve been to in HK, first being the Asia Web 2.0 Conference and Web 2.0 Seminar. I missed the first day and only showed up to the second day. The turnout was average, much like the others and I approximate 100 people made it to the morning sessions. [...]

Dear Angus,

Hope you would also be interested in our up-coming event "Nurturing and Commercializing Online Communities Forum", which would be held in Shanghai on Nov. 28 and 29.

This event could be ranked as the first Chinese Event discussing Web 2.0's impact on traditional business. Very interesting, we have already attracted several delegates from various industries, some of which we never thought would be interested!

If you are interested in this event, please e-mail me for more information or give us a call by 0086-21-6229 1717.

Hope we can meet with you here in Shanghai.

[...] from 852signal - Hong Kong Web 2.0 by Angus Lau I was at a Web 2.0 seminar here in Hong Kong yesterday(25.7.2007) and heard more from speakers about what Web 2.0 is and isn’t. This was the pattern of the previous conference and this seminar. However, this seminar did include a company, m-gen, that discussed Mobile 2.0 topics. Mobile 2.0 in Hong Kong is a topic that I have yet to touch on and profile. I do know (ok, I lied, it’s more like an assumption) that there aren’t too many startups here and the market is up for grabs to anyone. [...]

[...] At the Asia Web 2.0 conference last week, there was this one startup running around showing their site. The product they were showing around was GownFull, otherwise pronounced as Kung Fu. It looked like a pretty neat service/tool. [...]
