Darizi is a social network specifically for those who are planning their big day and want to share that important day with friends, family and strangers. Unlike most of the other startups profiled here, Darizi is made to capture users in Hong Kong and China.
Darizi offers a complete guide and a place to plan your big day. With this service, you can literally (not recommended) ditch your wedding planner, skip all the wedding fairs, and spend less on those hefty wedding magazines. The information is abundant with magazines, videos, popular honeymoon destinations, wedding gowns, bouquets, rings and wedding services directory (from Beijing, Shanghai, HK at the moment). Couples can run through the directory and compare based on user ratings. You also use the service to plan and organize your guest list, invitations, helper’s list (flower girl, photogs, etc) and other wedding needs.
Oh, did I mention there is the social aspect as well? Yes, there’s more, the couple’s own blog, video and photo album, friends list, are some of the basic community features.
The downside could probably be too much stuff, but still in a good way, there are more features and resources on the site. Other than that, Darizi offers a good place to begin planning for you wedding. But there is no getting around those offline wedding planning problems. You’ll still be running around finding that right dress and tux, comparing everything to the finest detail and spend hours arguing over the simplest things.
