BarCamp Hong Kong is on, the first kind of unconference in Hong Kong. Saturday, December 15, 2007 is the date.
It’s open to everyone, come and share your knowledge with others. This is NOT a geek event, it’s going to be a fun, casual gathering, but we want all the attendees to participate, talk about their specialties or passion. Whether it’s building a server farm, photography, web development, Photoshop skills, videography, gaming, usability, design, Hang Seng index, being a (web) entrepreneur in HK, whatever your passion is, you should come. It’ll be a trilingual event, so speak in English, Cantonese or Mandarin, whatever you are comfortable with, your choice!
Head over to BarCamp Hong Kong site and list what you want or think you’ll want to talk about.
We’ve got a great venue, at Yahoo! Hong Kong’s office in Causeway Bay (27/F Sunning Plaza, near Times Square).
Our T-shirt sponsor, Dookaz, is putting the BarCamp t-shirt design up to the community. Head over and offer your designs, simple, just register and submit. You’ll be rewarded! Keep it simple people, the shirts will have a BarCamp logo and the sponsors on it.
We’ll finalize other sponsors and try to do a mixer on Friday night and a early dim sum right before we start. We are still looking for some sponsors for the mixer the night before, breakfast and lunch, so if you want to sponsor, I know you do, we don’t want the attendees to starve now, do we
, contact the organizers on the BarCamp HK site or me directly. It’s for a good cause, really!
If you have a blog, help us spread the word. We’ve got a small logo that you can use on your blog. Looking to seeing everyone there! More info on Facebook group and event page or if you’re still not on Facebook, go to the BarCamp Hong Kong site.
