Turning up web entrepreneurs here

Leon Ho, the person behind Lifehack.org and Stepcase, has been named in this year’s Business Week’s Asia’s Young Entrepreneurs.

This is the second year in a row where someone from Hong Kong has been named and both are involved in the web industry. Previously, David Lee of EditGrid was selected in 2006.

Obviously, Hong Kong is not Silicon Valley, Singapore or even China, where people will not dive in and take the risk of building a startup. This type of recognition and exposure from a mainstream magazine is helpful to the upcoming youths here, where recognition in print is always more significant than anything else.

Hope these positive spotlights will get people involved with the web and technology entrepreneurship here.
